A half day Soulful Shoot with interior designer and health coach, Michelle Wilkie, in her incredible jungle like apartment in Hackney… followed by some portraits amongst the beautiful Magnolia trees in Victoria Park.
Michelle has just birthed her new business 'Interior Self', which blends holistic health coaching with interior design.
As an interior designer for over 15 years, Michelle appreciates how our environment and the spaces we inhabit can truly affect our productivity, happiness and wellbeing. Interior self is the harmony between our environment and wellbeing.
Michelle plans to offer one-to-one programs in future for women who want to heal their health and inspire them to think outside the box on their journey to creating alchemy and homeostasis within.
The aim of our shoot was to capture Michelle in her element, at home amongst all the things she loves and to create some natural and effortless photos which felt professional but down to earth. I think we did just that and I love what we created together!
The shoot also worked out very well for me, as I tried ginger shots (spicy!), a super healthy green juice and an outrageously delicious smoothie bowl topped with cacao nibs and bee pollen. I’ve never been so well fed on a shoot! Thank you Michelle.
We covered lots of ground in three hours, photographing Michelle amongst all the greenery, in the kitchen, working in her office and even in bed! We laughed a lot, we played, we tried things out and then when we’d exhausted shots in her flat we nipped to Victoria Park Village to an organic food shop before finding the most perfect Magnolia tree in the park.
