A series of Soulful Shoots throughout 2020 with Liz Beardsell; the face behind Diary, She Wrote, a podcast about sex, relationships and modern dating. I photographed Liz for the launch of her new podcast and then she just kept asking me back for each series! We had a whole lot of fun working on these together.
Liz has been writing a diary every single day since the age of 12 and she’s kept every single one! So Diary, She Wrote was compiled using over 10,000 of Liz’s personal diary entries. It’s honest, it’s raunchy and it won an award at the International Women’s Podcast Awards for “Moment of Touching Honesty”.
For each of our shoots, Liz wanted to capture seasonal portraits in her local area for press, social media and her website. She wanted to show off her personality, give people an idea of life behind the scenes and capture a snapshot of Hackney, the area where most episodes of the podcast take place.
Excitedly, the podcast featured in a wide range of press (with our photos!) including a two page spread in Grazia, article in Stylist Magazine, Telegraph Stella and Hackney Gazette. Phew! Such a great result. Check out some of the incredible coverage here.
