I met Jess on a Transformational Breath retreat near Glastonbury last summer (Jess was participating and I was facilitating as part of my training - see Arise Breathwork if you’re curious!). Fast forward a year and Jess is also a qualified breathwork facilitator!
So when Jess got in touch asking if she could book a personal branding shoot I was super excited because she’s such a gorgeous soul inside and out, and it meant we could spend a few weeks planning the perfect shoot.
Jess is a BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist and Nutritionist who has now added Transformational Breath to her repertoire, with the aim of supporting people to lead healthier and happier lives. Jess needed some strong new brand imagery to use across her website and also on social for some personal posts where she could show her face more.
We initially created a Pinterest moodboard, sharing lots of ideas and images we both liked. It quickly became clear that Jess’ style (light and bright) meant we needed to find a location house for our shoot and Jess secured the perfect place in Crystal Palace.
On the day of our shoot we started at the beautiful location house, capturing a variety of brand photos, including some for the nutrition side of Jess’ business and others for the breathwork. Jess’ friend Talita joined us for a couple of hours to stand in as a client for some of the shots. Talita also turned out to be a brilliant videographer, capturing some awesome behind the scenes footage (see my Instagram reel)!
After four hours shooting in the location house we made a quick stop at The Vaults Collective - the coolest plant and coffee shop in one… more like an indoor jungle! Super vibey and great for some portraits. We then made our way to a gorgeous local park with a sundial and lots of beautiful roses (it felt like The Secret Garden… my favourite tv series as a kid!) where we shot some portraits of Jess amongst all of nature. We were lucky with a split second of sunshine which resulted in a few dreamy shots with some camera flare. Love those ones!
